Hello Andover Friends, Happy Fourth of July! This summer is moving right along, isn't it!
Monday July 12 the Andover Recreation Committee will be having their monthly meeting at the Town Hall,starting at 7 p.m.. At this meeting people may also either sign up or get information about the bike program that the Rec.Comm. will host this summer. The committee and friends are doing a good job with offering several activities this year. Hats off to them.
Sympathy is extended to Jennifer and Fred McPherson and family for the loss of Jennifer's mother, Susan Farrar. She was a longtime resident of Alabama,most recently living with her daughter and family in Andover. She is survived by her mother, Rita Lizotte of Rumford, her son, Lee Farrar and wife Dee, her companion James Harris 11, and six grandchildren. If desired, contributions in Susan's name may be made to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, P.O. Box 819, Lewiston.
Upcoming events at the Andover Public Library will be a book singing with Andover's own Angelo Kaltsos. July 10 from 2-4 p.m. he will autograph copies of his book "Of Bears, Mice and Nails-Outhouse Chronicles." They are also available for purchase at the Library.
Snow Valley Sno-Goers meet next Thursday, July 7 at their clubhouse.
The Town Office will be closed on Monday July 5th,f or the holiday. Take notice that it will be open today, Thursday ,July 1, 8 a.m. -3 p.m. and Friday July 2 ,9 a.m. until noon.
