Ladies potluck breakfast at the fire station on Saturday, August 7 at 9 a.m. Marybeth Hoover will show pictures and tell of her trip to Papua New Guinea. Come enjoy the fellowship. Bring a breakfast food to share.

   Special program at the Whitman Memorial Library on Tuesday, August 10 at 2 p.m. Tucker Carlson, contributor to Fox News, will be guest speaker. All welcome, no charge and light refreshments.

   The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet at Norma Davis' home on Thursday, August 5 (today) for a picnic at 11:30. Please bring a dish to share, your own place setting and something for a silent auction.

   Nancy Willard will hold a program called Rise and Shine and Stretch with Nancy on August 11 at the Whitman Memorial Library, downstairs at 8:30 a.m. Come enjoy, no charge, all welcome.

   Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday school at 9:15, morning worship at 10:30, evening service at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening is prayer meeting at 6:30. On August 15, missionary to Brazil, Omar Schrock, will be preaching all services. Saturday, August 28 is the church picnic at Arlene MacKillops. Sunday, August 29,  missionary to Spain, Arnold Belascos, will be here for the evening service.

   The Grange Celebration will be held on August 21st. This is open to the public. All welcome, no charge.

   Historical Society

   Curator Larry Billings and President Olive Risko watched the museum recently. Two people were in. The members try hard to serve the public. You can support them with your encouragement. It really means so much to them. The museum will be closed on August 7.

   It's good to see some activity around the Village Store again. Good to know it will be opening soon by Breau's Too.

   Judith Grover tent #17 DUVCW will hold a regular meeting on Monday, August 9 at the Grange Hall at 7 p.m.
