Sunday dinner guests of Ken and Alice Hoyt were Beth, Steve and Marybeth Hoover, James and Charlene Hoyt and Bob Hoyt and friend, Lisa.
Franklin Grange 124 held a meeting on Monday, Aug. 2. It was music night and the public was invited; several attended. Music was provided by John Sparrow, Kenny Nolin, Lew Newcomb, Richard Felt and Laura Hutchins. Refreshments were served after the meeting. A good time was enjoyed by all who attended.
Franklin Grange 124 will hold a 135-year anniversary of the Grange celebration at the Grange Hall in Bryant Pond on Saturday, Aug. 21. Time is 2 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome at no charge. Free entertainment and light refreshments. Come have a good time and help the Grange celebrate 135 years.
The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens met on Thursday at the home of Norma Davis. A delicious picnic lunch was enjoyed by the 13 people attending. Next meeting is in September at the Masonic Hall with the Star Birthday Club serving the dinner. Program by Alice McInnis.
Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday school at 9:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:30 a.m., evening ser vices at 6. Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. is prayer meeting. Sunday, Aug. 15, missionary to Brazil, Omar Schrock, will be preaching both services. Saturday, Aug. 28, at noon, is the Church picnic at Arlene MacKillop’s. Sunday, Aug. 29, missionary to Spain, Arnold Belascos, will be speaking at the evening service.
Curator Larry Billings and Annella Burnham watched the museum at the Historical Society on Saturday and two people were in. Larry has recently got a book on Windsor Castle and the Parliament building. He also got a copy of Little Women for his mother.
