They did it. The hiking Worcesters successfully completed their Appalachian Trail in Maine journey when they descended Mount Katahdin last Saturday. Daren, Brad and Mike Worcester began their trip during the July 4 weekend at Mount Carlo traveling to Grafton Notch. A few days later Daren and Brad continued from Grafton Notch toward Mount Katahdin. With their parents, Bill and Gail Worcester, on Sunday they told of their adventurous trip. Erin Forbes from Hanover has graduated from college with a degree in biology. She attended St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. Erin is the daughter of Michael and Mary Ann Forbes. Congratulations!
The Hanover Planning Board met Aug. 4. Several residents and seasonal neighbors were present and expressed their opinions about town issues and the select persons’ conduct during the previous select board meeting.The next meeting will be Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. at the Town Office.
Those residing along South Shore Road in Hanover have expressed appreciation to community-minded Jeff Eaton for clean-up work along the road after recent torrential rains.
It was like a family reunion at Donna and Clem Worcester’s home last week when their daughter Jenny and her husband Matt Tirrell came to enjoy their vacations. Also joining in were their son Brian and his wife Sara along with Kaylynn, Shawnee and Makala. Everyone had fun swimming at Howard Pond and visiting Bear River at Grafton Notch State Park.
