Art Fair Award Winners

The 21st Annual Bethel Art Fair brought 58 artists and artisans to the Bethel Common July 3 where a variety of prizes were awarded.

Irene Duplissis of Duplissis Studio-Gallery in Auburn won Best of Show Painting for her watercolor “Dance Ballerina,” and Honorable Mention was awarded to Kathy Angel Lee of Old Orchard Beach for her fiber art painting “Marsh River.”

Hayden Farrington of Industry was awarded Best of Show Photography for “Reflection” and Jamie Cypher of Otisfield was awarded Honorable Mention for “Autumn Sparkle.”

Steven Smith of Edgecomb won Best of Show Artisan for his fine wood carving “Hoku” and Ashley Oliver of Bethel was awarded Honorable Mention for “Footed Bowl.”

The Purchase Awards were given to M. Dirk McKnight of Bethel for the River View Resort; Scott Perry of Farmington for the Raymond Philbrick Memorial Award; and to Ken Jorgenson of Mexico for the Lajos and Claire Matolcsy Memorial Award.

Many thanks to all who made the first Bethel Art Fair managed by the Mahoosuc Arts Council a success.
