On behalf of Telstar High School’s Student Council and especially from our students and staff members, I wish to extend our appreciation to those individuals and community groups for their assistance with the 2013 Telstar High School Homecoming Parade and Bonfire festivities on Thursday, October 3, 2013.
Special thanks to the Bethel Fire Department and Chief Mike Jodrey for providing the fire station’s parking and driveway for the line up of our Homecoming floats and start of the parade, and especially for monitoring the bonfire throughout the festivities.
Our gratitude to the Oxford County Sheriff Office for providing deputy sheriffs to escort the Homecoming Parade, monitor crowds around the bonfire and overall supportive presence during Homecoming festivities.
A note of thanks to Savage Contracting for their continual support of donating wood for the Homecoming Bonfire. It’s most impressive for the parade procession to see the bonfire glowing upon their approach to the Bethel Station snowman field site.
Also, special appreciation to SAD 44 Building and Grounds Maintenance members Ron Deegan and Clyde Crockett for providing a generator, electrical cords for lighting and sound, as well as delivery and set up of tables for student activities’ booth sales.
Special thanks to Bethel Station partner/owner Mr. Ron Goglia for his continual support providing Telstar High School’s Student Council the use of “the snowman field” for the annual Homecoming Bonfire and student activities’ booths.
School and community spirit was evident by the number of business members, patrons and homeowners along the parade route, who shared their enthusiasm by waving, applauding and shouting compliments as the Telstar High School Homecoming parade proceeded down Main Street.
Thank you all for joining us in promoting positive spirit and pride of Telstar High School.
