Suggestions sought for guide to manners for first graders
I have mailed off my four books and 12 short stories and run out of ideas. My daughter, Michelle, stirred up my interest when she suggested my writing a good manners book. Therefore, I am planning to write a short Good Manners Guide for first-grade children.
Times have changed since I was a girl -- languages as well as clothing --I'm sure you will agree with me on that. I would appreciate receiving your ideas for good manners for first-graders. Don't hesitate to write with humor, as I think a bit of laughter is something they will enjoy -- in a dignified manner of course. If you have children at home you are in the position for all sorts of good ideas. It may make your child listen more to things you have been suggestiong for months. They can even make a game of it with friends and not even realize they are learning something worthwhile. If I get a lot of similar suggestions, I'll have to take the one that came first or the one with more words.
Please drop off your suggestion(s) at my house, 16 Spring Street, Bethel or mail it to me: Susan Clement Farrar, P.O. Box 476, Bethel, ME 04217. Dateline: Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Thank you very much for your help.
