Thanks for Distracted Driving Presentation
I would like to thank everyone who helped make our Distracted Driving presentation at Telstar High School a success. This presentation was done to help educate the students about the dangers of distracted driving and the potential for tragic results if people do drive distracted or impaired.
I know that there were a lot of people who helped make this happen, and we thank all of you. Special thanks to the following: Dan Hart and Charles Raymond for working with us to get this program into the school; the Bethel Rotary and specifically Joe Arizzi and Cynthia Laux for the time they dedicated to this; Josh Aylward for helping get the program started; Mike Jodrey and the Bethel Fire Department; Sheriff Gallant and the following members of his staff: Willie Nelson, Josh Wyman, Dani Welch, and Tom Harriman; Kyle Tilsley and Ryan Brockway of the Maine State Police; Cheryl Bennett, Ken O’Leary, Berta Broomhall and David Goodwin as members of Bethel Rescue; Hannah Morin, Sean Baumgartel, Vicki Lowell, Dustyn Bailey, James Piccirillo, Coty Haas, Jacob Clark, Cheyenne Haas, and T.J. O’Connor for your extra work on the project; and the staff and students of Telstar for welcoming us into your building. Thanks also to Jason Hyde of the Dixfield Fire Company and Bob Hand and Carl Van Nest of PACE for sharing your programs with us to help us get our program in place.
A very special thank you to Crystal Aylward of Bethel Rescue and Oxford EMA for the hours she spent putting the power point presentation together and getting it all to work correctly. This truly was the highlight of the program.
We are very lucky to live in a community with so many people who care about the youth in our school district.
