Thanks for helping the girls in Ethiopia

We are writing to express our gratitude to all the people in the Bethel community and beyond who helped in our effort to collect sportswear for girls in Ethiopia. Thanks to your help we were able to deliver more than 175 sports bras and a dozen soccer balls to 10-18 year old girls who participate in sporting clubs in an impoverished region of the country during our recent visit. The staff at the Kembatta Women's Self Help Center were deeply appreciative of the donation and asked us to pass along their thanks to the community.

We'd like to send a special thank you to Lynn Wilson, Heidi Godomsky, and Robin Smith and Tommy's kindergarten class for their help collecting supplies.

We had a wonderful trip to Ethiopia and are happy to be home with our newly adopted five-year-old daughter, Yenenesh. She is enjoying America immensely and we are enjoying her as well. While we're at it, we'd like to thank our families and friends for all the support and encouragement they provided throughout the adoption process. We know that Yenenesh will love Bethel and all of you as much as we do!
