I had a busy weekend. On Saturday morning, Laura Hutchins and daughter, Lorene Mills, picked me up and we all went shopping in Norway.
Then I had no more than gotten the groceries, when Debbie and Owen Brown picked me up to go to the wedding of my nephew, Brian Colby, to Stephanie Corriveau, at the Union Church in West Bethel. It was a good thing that we went early because the church was already packed and some of the late arrivals had to stand up. With my knees the way they are I cannot stand for very long. It was a lovely wedding. Debbie and Owen's daughter, Tracy Walker, was the Matron-of-Honor. The attendents were all dressed in lovely fall colors. Kyle and Katie Colby, nephew and niece of the groom, also participated. Both of them looked far too grown-up as far as I was concerned. They were only babies a few weeks ago and it won't be long before Kyle is a teenager!!! After the wedding we went back to Owen's and Debbie's for a bit and then went to the Legion Hall in Locke Mills for the reception. We had to leave earlier than perhaps we would have liked, but it is a well known fact, in our church, anyway, that a good Sunday morning starts with enough sleep on Saturday night. Anyhow, that was the wedding from my perspective and I am sorry I did not have more names of those that took part but I am only familiar with the groom's side. I certainly wish them a long and happy life together along with Austin Westleigh, Stephanie's son, who is somewhere around eight. They did have a very symbolic ceremony during the wedding that the three of them took part in; that was very nice.
I don't know where the time goes but I am flirting with my deadline so that will be all for now. Have a good week.
