Gilead

The last column for 2012! I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday and that the new year will bring much happiness to all.

My brother, Steve McLain, was in town last Tuesday night. The weather and the roads were bad, so he came with Lise to the Gilead School Board meeting at the town office. Ann Choquette and Dave Murphy, who is Gilead’s Superintendent, were also present for the meeting.

Lise McLain attended the Christmas party on Thursday at the SAD 44 transportation department. She also went to Portland over the weekend to complete her Christmas shopping.

Our grandson, Benjamin Chapman, who is home from the Coast Guard Academy, spent some time with us this past weekend. His dad, Chris, called Saturday night to talk with him. We went to Gorham, N.H., to visit with Tim, Michele and Sidney. Ben has to return to the Academy by Jan. 4.
