Waterford

I hope all had a very good holiday and plan on having a great New Year. We are taking it easy this year, at least that is the plan. We are off to dinner at Beck and Jeff’s then a low-key day for Christmas. I hope the weather allows some walking. Not enough snow here to ski, but enough ice that I might be able to snowshoe.

Last week’s weather left me achy and down. I am looking forward to better days. I at least made it into town to set up gift baskets for the staff at Fare Share. I hope they enjoy them. The entire board of directors pitched in with special help from Cyndy.

Thursday, the 27th, weather permitting, ACOA will meet at the Waterford Library at 10 a.m. FMI please call 739-9115.

Not too much open this week as all are busy celebrating holidays.

Saturday, the 29th there is a full moon hike at Mt Abram. Transportation provided for boards, skis and boots so people can ski or board down. Fee for transportation is $5.

Monday, the 31st is New Year’s Eve. There is a dance at South Paris Legion Hall, Church Street. The Jones Band will play. Tickets are $10.

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, this is the Cold Moon. I hope the sky will be clear and we can see it.

That is all for this week. Thanks to all for your support as I try and rid myself of the Lymies. If anyone has news they would like to have printed, please call 739-9115.
