Bethel EXPO
Oct. 27 will be a busy day in Bethel with the 6th Annual Oxford County Community & Business EXPO, the Taste of Bethel & Beyond, and the Job Seeker and Entrepreneurship Workshops – all being held at the Telstar High School facility – as well as the Bethel Outing Club Ski Sale at Gould Academy (the Ski Sale opens on Friday night as well.) It is our hope that everyone in our communities will turn out for these events that are planned to benefit the businesses and some very important non-profits in our communities.
Something brand new to these events is the workshops being offered to Job Seekers and to aspiring entrepreneurs (as well as small business people who may have questions). The Bethel Area Chamber is working in partnership with the Maine Career Centers who will provide workshops at 10 a.m. and another at 11 a.m. in room 213 entitled “Cutting edge tips on resumes and interviewing techniques to get that job.” The Maine Small Business Development Center is offering four workshops for small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs in room 218. At 10 a.m., the workshop is “Starting a Business in Maine,” at 11 a.m: “Developing Your Business Plan,” at noon: “Understanding and Predicting Cash Flow,” and at 1 p.m.: “Financing Your Business.” All are welcomed to these free workshops and no preregistration is required.
The EXPO opens to the public at 10 a.m. and runs to 2 p.m. Raffles drawn every hour are an added bonus to coming to visit the businesses and organizations that will be there to greet you. From noon to 2 p.m., all may enjoy the Taste of Bethel & Beyond.
Hope to see you at Telstar High School on Saturday, Oct. 27.
