JARROD CROCKETT -
I am writing in support of State Representative Jarrod Crockett. Jarrod takes his responsibilities very seriously whether it is creating laws in the House or reaching out to his constituents in need. My family has personal experience with this.
On our family camping trip to Eustis one of our tires blew out. After changing the tire and replacing it with our spare we drove to a local garage in hopes of purchasing a new tire for the drive home. We arrived at the garage at 1 on Friday afternoon, only to discover that it was closed for the holiday weekend. In fact all the stores were closed for the holiday. We drove to Cathedral Pines campground on the spare tire, having no idea how we were going to get home to Bethel with just the spare.
That weekend the town of Stratton was holding their annual 4th of July festivities and Jarrod attended. Somehow he heard about our dilemma and came to the campground to offer his help. He took our blown tire to the local tire guy who was celebrating the 4th in town and got a new tire. He returned to the campground an hour later with the new tire and Klondike bars for all of the kids.
It was so encouraging to see a friendly face so far away from Bethel and we were so grateful for Jarrod's assistance. He could have gone back to Bethel and ignored our difficulties, but for those of us who know Jarrod we understand that he is always the first to offer a helping hand and usually the last to leave.
Thank you Representative Crockett for standing up for what you believe is best for our district and what you have done both in and out of the State House.
