GREENWOOD SHOULD NOT PAY
On the article to ask Greenwood taxpayers to raise money for Bethel's Mollyockett Day, ask yourself who benefits from this day? It is the businesses in Bethel. The people from Greenwood that attend spend their money at the stores, restaurants, and festivities. Therefore, the stores and the town that benefits from the festival should fund the cost, not the taxpayers from Greenwood. In fact the Town of Greenwood should ask the Town of Bethel to appropriate money for maintenance of the town beach which they use, and for maintenance of the ball field which they use for football practice.
