High School Varsity Baseball
Telstar 13, Lisbon 1; June 7-1 Telstar erupted with a 12-hit attack led by Casey Thornton, with 3 hits, and Dan Whitney, who slugged a bases-loaded home run. Kyle Peterson and Logan Bartlett combined duties on the mound allowing just 4 hits and one unearned run.-Coach Bob Remington
High School Varsity Softball
Lisbon 4, Telstar 3; June 7-Telstar's softball team lost a tough contest to Lisbon. The Rebels scored first and led 3-1 going into the bottom of the 7th inning. However, Lisbon generated 3 runs without the benefit of a hit to steal the game from the young Rebels. Jessica Dirago allowed 4 hits and walked one while striking out 7 Lisbon batters to lead the Rebels. Rachael Wheeler had 3 hits and scored two of Telstar's runs as Maisey Griffin had two RBIs and Gabi Stone had a hit and RBI to put Telstar up early. The team played well and put a big scare into the hosts before letting the game get away in the bottom of the 7th. Good game and good season.- Coach Jim Lunney
OUT AT THE PLATE-The Telstar High School Baseball Team concluded its season Tuesday with a 15-4 record, after a 4-1 loss to Dirigo High School in the Western Class Championship game at St. Joseph’s College. The score was tied 1-1 into the bottom of the sixth inning, when Dirigo scored three runs on several Rebel errors.
