I hope everyone fared well during the recent thunderstorm. Our dinner had to patiently wait in the oven ‘til we got power back again.
Aline Dupont returned back to school for the summer semester to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. We wish you well in this final stretch.
Arlene's granddaughter, Karen Lanther, was visiting from Friday ‘til Monday. As usual, they had a great time together.
Betty Ann Hasting went to camp at Small Point near Bath last weekend to finish up opening the Camp. Jay had been there earlier to stain the deck and hook up the water. She had a great time being there over Memorial Weekend.
Neil and his team, The Maine Black Flies, went to a Baseball Tournament in Long Island. They didn't lose a game in the first three days and finished fourth among 25 teams. They played very well. Nice going, Black Flies!
Here is the answer to the Trivia. In 1892, Nathaniel F. Brown was the superintendent of schools. He thought that East Bethel people took great interest and desire in helping students. He appreciated the gift of the Flag which showed that they were "alive" and interested in education.
