Last week was a long, busy week for me. I did more and more than I have been doing in the past year. I can’t say it felt good, but it was better than it has been. I worked at several different projects a day instead of only one. I helped paint and scrape at Pike’s Hill and helped at Fare Share and at the Yard/Plant sale this weekend. I also worked at the Transfer Station. Dave and I planted part of the garden.
The corn I planted 3 weeks ago has begun to come up. Radishes have raised their heads and we should have some soon. I have a few perennials to plant while the rain falls. That will be fun.
This weekend promises to be very busy. Saturday, June 15, at the Waterford Fairgrounds, there is a yard sale starting at 8 a.m. Then at 8 p.m., there is a dance with music by the Rockin’ Roadrunners. FMI for the dance please call 890-7669.
Saturday, in Bethel, there is a supper at the Alder River Grange. It will be at 5 p.m. and is lasagna. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
