Well, here we are again and I am still melting – hahaha. How about all of you?
Last week, Wednesday, Arlene and Esther went to Bucksport to visit Judy and they came back on Thursday. They ended up taking a ride to Castine and had lunch at the dock. Arlene says she saw one of the biggest ships she ever saw! All had a great time together.
Paul and Kathy Hebert took another trip to Pa. to see old friends and family. Kathy also celebrated her birthday there. Happy belated birthday to you from the neighborhood. Her birthday was great and she told me they climbed 1,000 steps in Jacks Narrows in Mount Union, Pa. It was the trail the miners took every day on their way to work to mine rocks for brick making; it was 1,800 feet high. She and Paul also had dinner on a river boat ride on Raystown Dam. It was a lovely day and that evening they went out to listen to country music. In Pa., there are little gatherings Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays where people just get together and play music. She remembers it so well from when she was a child. Her parents built a living room off of their house, 24 by 24, just for the reason that they could come and visit there comfortably.
Concerning our mock elections for mayor of East Bethel, you need to call me at 824-3220 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. We have a tie… all single votes. Thus, we need to have tie breaker votes.
Enjoy MollyOckett this weekend. Just remember, this year again, most of Main Street will be closed off to traffic for most of the day.
