Upton

The Upton Ladies Aid Association has a Hunter's Supper scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10. The supper will be in the Ladies Aid Building. It will start at 5 p.m. The Ladies have also planned a Hunter's Breakfast for the following morning, beginning at 6, in their building.

The Upton Historical Society met Sunday, Oct. 28. Nine members and three guests attended. One of the guests, Mark Vail, gave the society a flash drive. The flash drive is downloaded with old pictures and postcards from the Upton area. Thankyou, Mr. Vail.

The State Line Snow Machine Club has been busy building and repairing bridges. They have been working on some of their trails as well.

The Planning Board met Friday night. Upton's Code Enforcement Officer attended the workshop. She answered some questions the members had about the duties and powers of the Board. Thank you, Joelle, for your expertise. The board approved three building applications, pending building inspector approval. One of the permits is for a shed, one for repairs on a dwelling, with a small size increase, and the third is to move a boat and canoe storage building.

The Town of Upton is currently without a Building Inspector. If you are interested in the position, please contact one of the Selectmen.

Weather permitting, my woodshed will be full by next Saturday night. After it is full, I will start performing my snow dance every chance I get. It didn't work very well last winter but I am going to

keep trying!
