The 5th grade at Andover Elementary School is conducting a bottle drive on Saturday, Dec. 1, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. You may also drop off bottles at the school between now and Dec. 1.

At a recent meeting the Sno Valley Snow Goers were unable to find persons willing to staff the kitchen at the club house off Route 5. President Dick Merrill is working on another option at the moment and I will let you know when information solving this problem becomes available.

Plan ahead and mark your calendars for Dec. 8th when Christmas In Snow Valley will be in full swing here in Andover. The Andover Fire Department will be hosting their annual craft fair and welcome to Santa. The hours there will be 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Any crafters who haven't yet committed to this can be aware that there are still tables available. Call Elaine Morton at 392-1140. Early birds will find the “fair” at the First Congregational Church open at 8:30 a.m. with Shirley's donuts and coffee available. There will be a bake sale, a Christmas Table (green, etc.), a luncheon and a number of vendors including the Andover Historical Society. This traditional Andover happening is always well attended and you can find some real bargains.

The Snow Valley Sno-Goers snowmobile club will hold its December meeting and Christmas potluck supper on Wednesday, Dec. 5. The potluck supper will start at 6 p.m. and the regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse, off Route 5, Andover. Again this year the club will gladly accept unwrapped gift articles which will go to the Andover Elementary School Christmas Store where students can shop for gifts for family and friends. Also the winning 50/50 ticket will be drawn at the meeting. The winning prize will make someone very happy and the club will benefit from the ticket sales. There is still time to purchase 50/50 tickets and they will be available at the Dec. 5 gathering. All club members and interested persons are invited to attend both the potluck supper (please bring a dish to share) and the meeting, it will be a fun, Holiday evening.
