The Whitman Memorial Library program will be today, Dec. 6, at the Library. Time: 2 p.m. Charlotte Winchester will be leading a Christmas craft project of Christmas tree ornaments. Supplies will be provided. If you have a glue gun, please bring it. Public is invited, no charge, light refreshments.

The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet today, Dec. 6, at the American Legion Hall, Locke’s Mills, for a meeting, dinner by the Auxiliary and program by the Forestdale School children. If you wish to exchange gifts, bring one. Cards may be exchanged. If you want to, bring an item for the food pantry and Christmas for Kids.

Franklin Grange will meet on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Grange Hall for a meeting, Christmas party and dinner.

Mr. and Mrs. James Hoyt had their Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday so Maggie Hoyt and friend Whitney of Washington, DC, and Joseph Hoyt and friend Kelsey of Edgecomb could be present to join the family.

Ken and I enjoyed two Thanksgiving dinners, as we joined Jim and Charlene Hoyt on Wednesday and our family all joined Leatrice Chase and family on Thursday. Twenty-two were present at Leatrice’s.

Marybeth Hoover and her cat, Rufus, visited with us from Thanksgiving to Sunday.

Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday school at 9:15, Morning Worship at 10:30, Evening Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday is Prayer Meeting at 6:30. Tuesday, Dec. 11, we will be hosting the “Plant and Root Maine” rally. Service starts at 7 p.m. Fellowship time following the service. Children’s Christmas Program will be on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Everyone welcome. There will be a candlelight service on Sunday evening, Dec. 23, at 6 p.m.
