Woodstock, Greenwood, and Bethel Senior Citizens are invited to participate in exercise sessions to be held at the Whitman Memorial Library at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Jan. 15, 22, 29, and Feb. 5. Stretching and balance, plus some strength exercises are included. The class will be led by Nancy Willard. All seniors are welcome. Bring a friend.

Franklin Grange 124 met on Saturday, Jan. 5, at the home of Alice Hoyt. A new member was voted in. Communications were read. Hall insurance was discussed. Under new business, Laura suggested as a community service project, money from a fund raiser be given to the Honor Roll project. Sharon suggested a Chowder Fest during February Vacation with different chowders, soups, chop-suey, desserts and drinks, rolls, etc. More on this later. A potluck lunch was held after the meeting. Next meeting is Feb. 2.

There will be a benefit spaghetti dinner for Eddie Gammon Sr. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the American Legion Hall in Locke’s Mills. Doors open at 3 p.m., serving from 4 to 6:30 p.m. $8 per plate. Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15, Morning Worship at 10:30, Evening Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at 6:30 is prayer meeting. Annual business meeting is on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
