The Upton Ladies Aid Association held a meeting after breakfast Sunday. Their upcoming events include a supper Saturday, Feb. 16. The supper menu will feature German foods. Sunday, Feb. 17, Carol and Charlie will host their annual “Winter Fun Party.” The party will begin at 2 p.m. The Ladies plan to serve Sunday breakfasts from now to Mother's Day. Their next scheduled meeting is Sunday, Feb. 3, after breakfast.

The State Line Snowmobile Club will meet Saturday, Feb. 9, 9 a.m. at the Upton House.

Officers and members of the Letter B Notch Riders are starting to discuss potential plans and goals for the 2013 season. The first club meeting is planned for March 10, 9 a.m. at the Upton House.

The Upton Selectmen met Wednesday, Jan. 16. They (mostly) finalized the 2012 fiscal year paperwork. The selectmen appointed Rose Stevens as registrar of voters and Brian Knightly as building inspector. Both appointees were sworn in. They will hold their February meeting on the 5th, 7 p.m. in the town office.

The Upton Planning Board is scheduled to meet Friday, Jan. 25, in the town office. They will have a workshop beginning at 6 p.m. They will start reviewing building applications at 7.
