The Woodstock Historical Society meeting was canceled for February because of the weather. Next meeting will be March 9 at the Town Conference Room. Larry Bonney will be doing the program on some of Woodstock’s early settlements.
Judith Grover Tent 17 DUVCW met at the home of Alice Hoyt on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The charter was draped in memory of a Real Son of a Union Veteran, Edward Roodes. Chowder supper was discussed. We talked about Memorial Day. The flag at the Honor Roll was taken down as the rope broke. General orders and a new Roster were received. Next meeting is March 11. Calls reported were 13. Elena Noyes received the mystery package. Valentines were written for veterans in the South Paris Veterans' Home.
Don’t forget the Chowder Supper to be held at the Woodstock Elementary School on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 3 to 7 p.m. This is a public supper to benefit the Honor Roll extension, put on by the Grange with help from the Daughters of Union Veterans. Come help support this good cause. Soup, chowder, chop suey, chili, coleslaw, dessert, and drink for $8.
Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15, Morning Worship at 10:30, Evening Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at 6:30 is Prayer Meeting.
