The weather has been delightfully mild. I hear that will not last and we will have snow again by the end of this week. It is still March so that should be no surprise. At least some of the snow piles have melted. If the predicted rains come, more will have melted by Thursday. That will be good. I’d like to be able to see the house without looking through piles of snow and ice.
This again will be short as in an attempt to bake I re-insured my back. Pathetic really, but it is because I didn’t bend at the knees because my knees are bad. So it goes.
Mountain Poets met Sunday evening and we had a great meeting. We had one new person and then two drop-ins. It was great. We had a number of humorous poems to start the evening off right. Next meeting is April 14.
Thursday, March 14, ACOA will meet at the Waterford Library at 10 a.m. It is a discussion meeting and new members are welcome. FMI please call 739-9115.
March 14 is also an early release day at SAD 17 schools.
March 16 University Coop Extension will hold a class on pruning Apple Trees, at 9 a.m. Snow date will be March 17. This will be at Pie Tree Orchards in Sweden. Cost is $25.
March 21 SeniorsPlus will be at Norway Town Hall from 1-4 p.m. It is open to the public. For an appointments please call (800) 427-1241.
March 24, Rotary will hold their Breakfast at Ordway Hall, Gould Academy from 7:30-11 a.m. Tickets: $7 adults in advance. At the door it is $8. Children $3.
One additional note, the Town of Norway is looking for budget input especially on the roads. From my perspective, the real problem is with the State roads such as 118. That is a nightmare for anyone in pain to ride on.
That is all for this week. Have a great week and if you see Polly Davis, wish her a Happy Birthday.
