Good morning dear readers – it’s a rainy morning here today and 41.5 degrees.
This rain will sure help take the snow away and water the ground to
help the trees and spring flowers start to pop.
We called on George and Brenda DeWitt yesterday; we had a good visit and enjoyed the sunny morning drive. Many of you will remember George, he played rhythm and was a member of our band. Due to illness George had to give up playing. It will be two years on May 3 that George had his lung removed. Dell Parker of Andover now plays rhythm for our group along with mandolin and fiddle.
The jam sessions at the Eagles in Rumford will be shut down for the
spring and summer months; tonight will be the last one for the season.
Birthday wishes to those celebrating this month: Lorna Ryan, Susan Brown, Deedee Tibbetts, Hope Hoyt, Mary Jane Newell, Lorna Hemingway, Traci Mason, Martha Hadley, Scott Roberts, Brenda Washall, and Jeff Simon.
Anniversary wishes to Dick and Bea Moreau of Jay and Frank and Mary Perham.
Had to cancel my practice for today, will work in two days of practice next week.
My nephew Rick stopped by to pick up the mattress I had in my guest room Monday evening, it was too good to throw out and wanted someone to get some use out of it.
What started out as rain a bit ago has now turned to snow and it’s snowing quite hard at the moment.
The deer are coming out to eat daily in the back field. Took several pictures of them and they look like they fared out pretty good this winter. They look real healthy and lean. I suspect maybe we might see a few new fawns in the weeks to come.
Sap is running real good with the warm days and cold nights and
looks like a good maple syrup season.
If anyone has any news, birthdays, anniversaries, birth notices, public suppers, dances, etc., that you would like to share with our

Condolences to the family of Sandra Brown. Thoughts and prayers to each family member.
That’s all from the valley this week. I’m off to town to do errands.
Have an awsum day and a great weekend.
