Andover
Hello Andover friends. Will it never end — snow is forecast for Tuesday evening here! Gotta love Maine!
Saturday was roadside cleanup, sponsored by the Andover Service Circle. They provided the garbage bags, gloves and snacks for afterward. Helping out this year was Jerry and Judy Michaud, Rhonda Jodrey, Eileen and Elek Pew, Kelsey and Beanie Averill, and Andrea and Jerry Savitz. Thank goodness it was a nice morning, a little chilly at first, but no bugs.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Josh Hanson, who passed away on Sunday, April 18, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Josh was a resident of East Andover. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Karen Manning of East Andover, his brother, Herb, of Colorado, and sister, Tina and her husband, Michael, of Virginia. A funeral was held on Thursday at the Andover Congregational Church, with the Rev. Jane Rich officiating.
Karen Vachon, Brookfield, N.H., spent the weekend visiting with her parents, Rog and Dot Mills.
Celebrating a birthday this week: Harley Wheeler on April 30, and Nikolas Conrad May 1.
Starting on Monday, May 3, the Town Office hours will be back to the normal Monday through Thursday.
Enjoy the weekend, Happy May!
