THE MOST AMAZING TEACHER

On May 1, Unlocking Autism had a dance/benefit to help raise money for an ABA certified teacher at CPS. It was a great night and so far we have been able to raise $1,300.

Thank you Monsta Band, once again you have stepped up for kids with Autism. Thank you to all the people and businesses of Bethel and Lewiston who donated stuff to raffle off.

Anyone who would still like to sponsor or donate for the ABA teacher, please go to unlockingautism-me.org. We will put all money we raise from now until July 1 toward this important cause.

I have one more announcement, and it’s a very important one. Unlocking Autism gave out an award at this event that I hope to carry on yearly throughout Maine. It’s Special Education Teacher of the Year Award. I believe these teachers deserve recognition from us all for the hard work they do every day for our children. This year the award went to Tiffany Colby of CPS; she is the most amazing teacher I have ever known, and I hope to meet more of them like her in the future.
