Waterford
I have seen some mayflowers starting to bloom. I saw eye bright the other day and violets along the roadside when walking Tasha. There are daffodils, of course, except at our house where the bulbs got dug up with the cellar. But there are many I’ve seen and they are beautiful.
We closed last Thursday and construction has re-begun. We have a smaller crew, but we have as many as we need. We are still waiting for the cellar floor to be poured, but by the time you read this, that will have happened. Insulation is being hung and we will have power and water really soon. I hope we will be all in by the end of May.
I missed the Knit and Chat group on Monday, but they do meet the first and third Monday of every month from 2 to 4 p.m.
The ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families) meets every Thursday from 10 to 12 a.m. at the Waterford Library. FMI call 739-9115.
Saturday, May 8, there is a food drive sponsored by your letter carrier. Leave non-perishable items by your postal box.
I was saddened to read of the deaths of Margaret Tibbetts and Hi Berry. They led good lives. My condolences go out to both their families.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, the 9th. Don’t forget your mom.
Put on your calendars the Annual Meeting of the Waterford Library on May 18 at 7 p.m.
On the 24th at the Waterford Library the bridge group meets at 6:30 p.m.
That is all for this week. Enjoy the great May weather and don’t forget the sunscreen.
