Enman

Claire N. Enman, 68, a resident of 540 College Street, Lewiston, died Saturday evening, June 10, 2012 at Montello Manor, with family and extended family by her side, due to kidney failure.

She was born in Mexico, June 14, 1943, the daughter of Herbert and Mildred DeMerritt Enman. She attended Rumford schools and was a 1962 graduate of Stephens High School.

Claire loved music, especially the “oldies” and country music. She also especially adored her cat, “Tuffy.” She was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing word puzzles. Claire loved life. She loved to talk and enjoyed being with people. She also had a talent for learning your life story.

Survivors include a brother, Clayton Enman of Old Town; two sisters, Constance Burgess and husband George of Auburn, and Carole Faye Povelite and husband David of Andover. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, at 12 p.m. at Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. Graveside committal prayers follow at the DeMerritt Cemetery, Peru. Memorial donations may be made in Claire's memory to either the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, 55 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240, or the Kidney Dialysis Center, 710 Main Street, Lewiston. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior to services.
