Hanover

The June 12 Primary Election brought out 54 Republicans and Democrats to vote for their choices for this fall’s elections. An additional four voters who are not enrolled in any political party helped approve the RSU 10 budget for the next year and re-elect Dan Force as a member of the Board of Directors. The Hanover polls were open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Kelly Harrington, Clem and Donna Worcester, Paul Ramsey, Gordon Howe and Herb Adams worked on the election. Hanover was the first town in the area to complete and report the final tallies.

We recently reported that some doors at Howard Pond cottages had been tampered with. That caused a fair amount of concern from folks with Howard Pond connections. I always say not to believe everything you read in the news but in this case there is a non-human element involved. The wind did it and no damage occurred. We are sorry if that story caused any concern.

Are you a father or a grandfather? If so, what did you get for Father's Day? Clem got two sets of steps made by son-in-law Matt and a string of Moosehead Lake fish caught by the twins, Shawnee and Makala. Very appreciated!

Last Saturday Donna and Clem Worcester traveled to Windham to remove paraphernalia from a Knights of Pythias Lodge that recently closed. The items had been the property of Nonesuch Lodge formerly of Scarborough.
