Andover

The Andover Service Circle which does a lot of very good work in town including awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior each year, has, after 25 years, to discontinue its Community Calendar Fundraiser. They would be happy to help any other service group in the community who might want to take on this project. The ASC will have a raffle table on on the Common on Olde Home Day. They are seeking donations for the raffle table which will have several items including things given by members of the organization.

June 29th and 30th have been designated as Andover Yard Sale Days. So if you've been thinking about having a yard sale, this would be a great time to do it. Multiple sales within the community draw a lot of people which is good for the town and for the individual participants.

On Monday morning 13 children and a number of adults gathered at the First Congregational Church for Vacation Bible School. After Bible Study time, children participated in craft making followed by a "field trip" to see God's provision in the herbs that grow around us and to learn, from instructor Darlene Akers, how they can be used in various healing processes. Both adults and children learned a great deal and had lots of fun. By the time you read this the three-day VBS will be completed including field trips to see the wonders of God's nature at the meeting of the waters, the Indian burial ground and Emerson's Bog.
