Need Your Help
Andy Valley Cal Ripken League is a local youth baseball league in the Oxford Hills and surrounding area. The league includes teams from the towns of Bethel, Greenwood, Norway, Mechanic Falls, Minot/Hebron, Otisfield, Oxford, Poland, South Paris, West Paris, and Woodstock. It provides playing opportunities for approximately 600 young people between the ages of 6-12 years of age. We are a member of the Maine State Cal Ripken League and the National Cal Ripken Baseball Leagues. As an active member of these groups our players participate in State of Maine, New England Regional and possibly National All-star competitions at four different age levels; 12 years and under, 11 years and under, 10 years and under, and 9 years and under. Although, at each of these levels, competition can be very tough, our teams have done exceptionally well, This year we have already claimed State championships at the 12U and 10U levels and believe that our 11U and 9U teams, who play in the State tournament beginning July 21, have the potential to claim championships as well.
To send teams to New England tournaments requires a great deal of commitment from coaches, players and parents. The financial burden is great and, although Andy Valley is able to meet the expenses associated with running the league, it does not have the resources necessary to absorb these added costs. We need your help! We are asking local community recreation groups, civic groups and businesses to pledge a donation to help with the costs of sending these teams to Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Please help us make this exceptional opportunity for our kids a great success.
On behalf of all the Andy Valley family, I thank you for your generous support.
Michael J. Marshall
President, Andy Valley Cal Ripken League
