Farmers at the Market

A photo with the caption "New Farmers Market" was posted in The Citizen last week. I wanted to clarify that this new Wednesday market is not affiliated with the ongoing farmers market held on Saturdays at the parkway. This mid-week gathering of local growers held at DiCocoa's on Main Street is called “Farmers at the Market.”

We have doubled the number of local farmers vending their produce in only our second week. Farmers at the Market will be held until Sept. 19. It is open to all who wish to sell what they grow. Backyard gardeners now have an opportunity at no cost or commitment to sell their veggies. It is a fun event and is open to all.

Come join us on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. to meet your neighbors and taste our grilled pizzas made with seasonal local produce. This is a great way to connect with your community, enjoy freshly-picked produce and support local economy. For more info call 824-5282.
