The Ladies of the Upton Ladies Aid Association have finished their

quilt. The quilt will be raffled, tickets are now available from any member and will be also be sold during Fun Day. The winning ticket

will be drawn on Fun Day.

The Upton Historical Society has a busy agenda during Fun Day. They could use a few more people to help with the various projects. Show up at the school any time Aug. 18 to volunteer. Please contact Lou via e-mail, elecrctoys@gmail.com if you would like to help with, or be part of, the parade.

The Letter B Notch Riders will meet Sunday, Aug. 12, at 9 a.m. in the Upton House.

The Planning Board will meet Friday, Aug. 31.

My garden is finally doing well. We are getting a few tomatoes now with lots more coming. The vine plants are doing quite well. We should have cukes in two or three weeks. Not too bad when you remember that my land is about eighteen hundred feet above sea level and spring comes about two weeks later here than it does most of the rest of the state.
