Franklin Grange met at the hall on Saturday, Dec. 8, for a meeting, Christmas program, and dinner following. A new member was taken in. Program as follows: Song, “Joy to the World”; Reading by Richard Felt; Song, “Jingle Bells”; Exchange of gifts and cards; Music by Richard Felt, Bertha DeHaas and Laura Hutchins; Closing thoughts by Bertha. Next meeting is a potluck lunch on Jan. 5, 10 a.m. at the home of Alice and Ken Hoyt.
On Tuesday, Dec. 11, the Rotary Club held a Christmas dinner for seniors at the Legion Hall, Locke’s Mills. It was a delicious dinner and music presented by Telstar students was enjoyed. Much thanks to the Bethel Rotary Club.
Tuesday evening, a Plant and Root Maine service was held at the Baptist Church. It was a great service with pastors from several churches attending.
Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15, Morning Worship at 10:30, Evening Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at 6:30 is Prayer Meeting. Sunday, Dec. 23 is a candlelight service at 6 p.m.
The Christmas tree on the Common is very pretty with its Christmas lights.
