South Woodstock
Good evening dear readers – it’s a cold night with temps of only 21 degrees here in the valley.
Good night to cuddle and keep warm or add another blanket.
Yogi and I attended the CNA graduating class of 2012 tonight at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Our future granddaughter, Kayla Paine, and her friend, Allyson Snow, were among the many who graduated. It was a great evening seeing these young students graduate and having new jobs to go to.
Their class put together a great refreshment table for those of us attending, great cooks and lots of delicious dishes to enjoy. Congratulations to all of the students. A job well done and best wishes to each one.
It was nice getting to see many that I had not seen for months: Patty Snow, Keith Moxcey and family, Lester Wing and his wife, MaryAnn Fifield and Keith Swan, Jean Millett, Marsha Cummings, Donna Kusheba.
Condolences to the families of Joseph N. Roy, Joshua H. Wardwell, Debbie Saunders and John (Jack) S. Bray. Thoughts and prayers to each family member.
Due to the ice storm on Monday the band had to cancel playing for the residents in Rumford. We re-scheduled another date, as we want to do our Christmas program for them.
Get well wishes are going out to my sister, Maxine Libby, also to Joyce Hathaway who is recovering from a bout of pneumonia and Kay Bond who is in rehab for a rotor cuff injury and surgery.
Get well wishes to all that are not feeling quite themselves these days.
The band has its first CD recording out; The recording session was great and it only took five hours to put it all on track. I recorded a song that was written by a good friend (Juanita Ford). I had the pleasure of co-writing this with her and Dell Parker worked with me on the melody.
It is being aired here in Maine and in other parts of the country as well; we will be getting in more studio time for our second CD after the first of the year.
Visited with my niece, Myra Emery, of Waterford last Saturday afternoon. We had a nice visit and I also got to see my grand nephew Rick Emery, Jenn and children.
We are off to play Sandy River Rehab tomorrow for their Christmas program for the residents. And then Friday we are entertaining the Vets at the Veteran's Home for their Christmas program. So looking forward to seeing everyone before Christmas.
That's all from the valley this week – stay well.
From our house to yours we are wishing each of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS And Happy Birthday dear Jesus. YOU are the Reason for the Season!
