Bethel Art Fair July 3

To the Editor:

The Mahoosuc Arts Council will be producing the 21st Annual Bethel Art Fair July 3. We are creating an Open Space Gallery concept to accompany the fair. This means any artist or arts group who has a studio or gallery space which can be visited by the public, is welcome to be included on our program map which will highlight a weekend full of arts and culture.

The Bethel Art Fair Task Force has been working to create an additional draw for visitors to the Greater Bethel Area by partnering and collaborating with other organizations to promote an entire weekend of creative events and activities including:

--Thursday, July 1: A public reception to honor the 2010 Bethel Performing Arts Project “Painting the Porch” and the Community Gallery at the Sunday River Brewery.

--Friday, July 2: The 6th Annual Shy, Novice and Closeted Art Soiree.

--Saturday, July 3: The 21st Annual Bethel Art Fair, featuring “Painting the Porch.”

--Saturday July 3: The 6th Annual Shy, Novice and Closeted Art Show.

--July 3-Aug. 15: An exhibit of the art of Honor Figure Helen Morton at the Bethel Historical Society, Robinson House.

Special exhibits will also be held at the Sunday River Artisans Gallery, the Bethel Community Gallery at the Sunday River Brewery and more.

We invite any Greater Bethel Area artists or art groups to participate in this Open Space Gallery concept. If you or your group is interested in participating and having your location on our program map or you need more information please call 824-3575.

Looking forward to a wonderful 21st mountain arts celebration,

Aranka Matolcsy
