own Clerk Melinda Averill reminds those wishing to vote absentee in the November 6th election that absentee ballots are now available at the Town Office. Voters should be informed of a change in the election laws that will require absentee ballots to be filed by November 1st.
There will be a Flu Shot Clinic at the Town Hall on Saturday, October 13th from 9 AM to Noon. People needing shots should bring their Maine Care, Medicare or other insurance card with them, otherwise there is a $25.00 fee. For further information call Karen Swan at 392-4031.
On Saturday, October 13th, Paul Knoll will present a program on dowsing and the earth's energy at the First Congregational Church from 10 AM until Noon. The public is invited to attend this event which can answer your questions about a technique heavily relied upon by our ancestors in finding water.
The Andover Service Circle announces it's annual Senior Appreciation Dinner to be held October 15th at the Town Hall. Seniors 62 and older are invited to attend this free meal--social time will be at 4 PM with the meal served at 4:30 PM. Please make reservations with Judy Michaud at 392-1221.
On October 20th, the Sno Valley Snow Goers will be hosting their annual land owners appreciation supper at the dining room of the First Congregational Church.
Despite the rain on Sunday, the leaf peeping was excellent over the East B Hill Road. If the sun had been out, it would have been spectacular. This wonder of the fall only lasts a few days and we should all get out there and enjoy the splendor.
