My sister, Kathy, came to our house Saturday afternoon and stayed with us until Sunday midday. We had a great visit. We reminisced about
growing up in Upton and solved most of the world's problems.
Our friends and neighbors, Andy and Heather Zybas and family, decided that it is less expensive to rent a home in Pittsburg, N.H., then it is to travel to there from Upton five days a week. We are sorry to see you leave and we hope to see you weekends and holidays.
No front yard moose sightings this week, but there was a coyote under one of the apple trees Saturday night, just before midnight. The coyotes have eaten so many of the apples that I doubt that there are any left for the deer to eat. Most years all through late September and early October, we see deer nearly every afternoon or evening. But this year, we haven't seen any deer in our field since early summer.
My condolences to Jeff and Pennie Libby on the loss of Jeff's father, Arthur Libby.
