Virginia M. Perham
Virginia M. Perham, 77, of East Bethel, died at her residence on May 25, 2010 after a short battle with breast cancer, with her loving family at her side. She is now resting peacefully with God and the angels above.
She was born in Brighton, Mass., on Aug. 6, 1932. She was educated in Massachusetts schools and had worked as a laundry worker and housekeeper for most of her life as well as having worked for Western Union and Converse Rubber Company in Massachusetts. Virginia moved to Maine in April of 2001 from Everett, Mass.
She loved to knit and crochet and was extremely fond of talking with her friends. She was an avid lover of animals and was always more concerned with the welfare of others before her own.
She is survived by one son, Thomas J. Perham of Bethel; one daughter, Frances Shannon and her husband Kim of Bethel; four grandchildren Shyanne A. Shannon and Crystal Lambert both of Bethel and Amber Neemann and her husband Michael of Berlin, N.H., and Scott Shannon of Milan, N.H.; and three great-grandchildren, Whyatt Perham of Bethel and Kayla and Brandon Neemann of Berlin, N.H.
Funeral services were held at the Greenleaf Funeral Home, Bethel, on Sunday, May 30, with Bob Schuesler officiating. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.andrewsgreenleaf.com.
