The trustees of Gardner Roberts Memorial Library met Oct. 9 for the monthly meeting. The reports of the Secretary, Treasurer and Librarian were accepted. It was reported that the Celebration of Fall that took place Oct. 6 was very successful again this year. Although less money was earned than last year, it was a good showing and everyone had a good time. Library officials expressed appreciation to all who helped with this year’s effort. Still to come is the raffle for the huge handcrafted quilt made by the Library Bees to be raffled on Election Day, Nov. 6. Librarian Peg Susbury said that there were no plans to change the library hours. The trustees worked on revising the by-laws and constitution of the library. Lynn Ramsey said that there would be a workday on Oct. 10 to clean up the Children’s Garden.
Wally and Brenda Devoe have moved from their Hanover home to be nearer Wally’s work in the Portland area.
