West Paris

By Joyce Lamb

The dry spell is over and the rains are falling. Old Home Days at West Paris went well for the fireworks on Friday night but the Saturday parade washed out for Saturday morning. It was called off at 10 a.m. because of the heavy rain. By noon the parade did go, with lots of fire engines and ambulances from several towns.

On Sunday, June 13, the Rev. Richard Beal will present the service at the West Paris Universalist Church. The organist is Jim Burke. A coffee hour follows. This will be the last service of the church year. There will be Vesper services in August. Regular church services will begin in September. There will be services at the West Sumner Universalist Church during the summer.

On June 27 the Church will hold a picnic at noon at Nancy Willard’s home on Lake Christopher in Bryant Pond. Bring your lunch and bathing suit.
