Humbling experience, huge success

To the Editor:

The benefit held on June 5 for me was a humbling experience and a huge success! What a great turnout and the abundance of support was overwhelming. I am truly blessed with amazing family and friends and to live in such a caring community. I continue to get cards and donations in the mail.

Thank you to my daughter, Darcie, for organizing it; thank you to her right-hand man, Matt; thank you to Diane Farnum for the Lyme Disease awareness and education; thank you to all of the businesses that donated food; thank you to Spencer Glover for cooking and organizing the kitchen crew; thank you to the band, One Step Ahead; thank you to the many businesses, friends and family that donated raffle items; and just in case I forgot someone, my heartfelt thanks to those who helped and contributed in any way. Your donations have made it possible for me to make the trip to Washington, DC, to see the specialist who, hopefully, will save my eyesight.
