Waterford July 1
The 4th of July weekend is upon us and that to me really signifies summer. We have already had a few very summer-like days, now begins the parades, celebrations and fairs.
Like most places Waterford’s July 4th celebrations occur on Monday, July 5. There is a breakfast at the Wilkins House on Plummer Hill from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, muffins, donuts, juice and coffee will be served. Great place for breakfast and good company. $6 adults and $3 kids. There is also a yard sale until 11 a.m.
Also on the 5th, Mt. Tirem Masonic Lodge will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Come and find a special gift for summer.
The 4th of July Parade in Waterford is also on July 5. It starts at Waterford Elementary School at 11:30 a.m.
July 1 to Aug 15, the Art of Helen Anna Morton will be featured at Bethel Historical Society in Bethel.
Time to pick your strawberries while they are still good. Rumors are that it is a bumper crop. We haven’t made it yet, but there is still a little time.
Moving into more of our house all the time. Maybe by the 4th we will be all in.
Have a great and safe 4th of July.
