Albany July 22

Greetings and hello to everyone out there in Albany land and beyond! Wow!  What a busy summer it's been. Between work being done at the house, Dana's "new" job keeping him busy, and basic home life, I've had little time for "creative writing". So sorry about how lax I've been.

Anyway, let's see: The Albany Congregational Church has begun its annual summer suppers. The next one is this week. The next are on Aug. 5 19.  We'll try and get to at least one (depends entirely upon Dana's hectic and erratic schedule); hope to see you there as well.

Pam and Carton Rugg were in the Mollyockett Days Festival parade as members of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, along with Jim and Marie Davis of Oxford. Yup! We went to the parade and came back home with a lot of candy. The participants are certainly generous with their candy! Danny loved it! Pam's grandsons are up for a visit this month, and we got a peak at how much they've grown at the parade. I know for a fact that Pam is quite happy to have them up.

After the parade, we then sauntered down to the World's Fair in Waterford. I have to admit this, in the whole time I've lived in Maine, I've never gone. Dana started his fair career (he used to be in 4-H and also raised his own critters for show) at this fair, but I have never gone. Yes, it's small. But, I have to say it was fun! It was small enough to have a real "homey" feel to it. Danny got covered in ice cream at one time, and one of the organizers let him use one of the water spigots to wash off with. It was very nice and we had a great deal of fun there.

It's been nice getting all of the rain we have. Been helping to keep our well with water, as well as cool the area down a bit. But, there are times I just wish it would rain at night time so that we all can enjoy the day!

Best wishes for a happy and safe week. God Bless & Keep.
