East Bethel July 22
They say that time flies when you are having a good time. Must be the reason why this summer seems to be going by so fast. Am pleased to be able to tell you all about some of those good times of this passed week.
Over 125 people attended the 60th anniversary celebration for Peter and Elsie Seames in Greenwood on Saturday the 17th of July. Special thanks to Andrea, Dustin, Alyssa, and Bekah Howe and so many others for all the hard work for making this a special celebration for their grandparents. Congratulations Elsie and Peter!
Our neighborhood runner Cherri Crockett ran the five-mile Mollyockett race in 51.58! You sure are amazing,Cherri!
Lynn Zimmerman just returned from a two-week trip in Alaska where she was leading the Appalachian Mountain Club hiking group. Sixteen people, Lynn, and a co-leader enjoyed the Denali National Park, the Kenai Fjord National Park, and the Chugach National Forest. They also visited museums in Anchorage and saw lots of wildlife, like whales, sea lions, caribou, Dall sheep, and mountain goat. They had a great time, and then you won't believe who they saw at the airport on their way home. Lynn's neighbors, Cyndy and Chris Olson, also were on their way back home. Am looking forward to hear about their trip to Alaska.
At my house we enjoyed a nice, yet sadly, brief visit from my daughter, Sam, her daughter, my Sunshine, Hayli, her partner, Ed Mallett and his daughter Ryley.
Then on Friday evening Eva and John Coolidge, along with their son, Ryan, and granddaughters, Corey and Taylor, came over to join my grandson,s Ben and Boden, and myself in celebrating my son Ryan's birthday. It was fun as usual and thanks, Eva, for baking the delicious cake.
Now, ready or not, here is the next Trivia question. Per the 1887 Town Report how much money was to be expended for the East Bethel School?
Have a great week
