Franklin Grange 124 met on Monday, July 19, at the Grange Hall for a regular meeting. The date for the Grange celebration was moved to Aug. 21, as Philip House could come play that day. Steve Seames has found someone to fit the porch on the hall. Sterling Mills was elected to serve on the finance committee for two years. Sick members were reported on. The program was on deaf and hearing and Louise Sweetser from Miracle Ear spoke. She told about different kinds of hearing aides, etc. She was very interesting. A poem was read by Bertha DeHaas that she had written. Next meeting is Monday, Aug. 2.

The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet at the home of Norma Davis on Thursday, Aug. 5 for a picnic. Please bring a dish to share and your own place setting. Also something for the Silent Auction. Time is 11:30; new members always welcome.

Saturday, Aug. 7, is another Ladies Breakfast at the Fire Hall. Come enjoy the fellowship. Marybeth will show pictures of Papua, New Guinea. This starts at 9 a.m.

Whitman Memorial Library will have a special program on Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. Tucker Carlson, contributor to Fox News, will be guest speaker. All welcome, no charge and light refreshments.

Nancy Willard says come Rise and Shine and Stretch with her at the Whitman Memorial Library downstairs. This is on Wednesdays, Aug. 4 and 11 at 8:30 a.m. All welcome. No charge.

Services at the Baptist Church are Sunday school at 9:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:30, evening service at 6. Wednesday evening at 6:30 is prayer meeting. Upcoming events: Aug. 15, Missionary to Brazil Omar Schrock will be speaking at both services; Saturday, Aug. 29 is the Church Picnic at Arlene MacKillop's; Sunday, Aug. 29 missionary to Spain Arnold Belascos will be preaching the evening service.

Historical Society

Curator Larry Billings and Annella Burnham watched the Museum on Saturday. The special exhibit was items about England, as Larry loves English history. He has put books on the subject in the research library. Do consult the library when you visit.

The museum has two beautiful matching drop-leaf mahogany dining tables. They have several sets of dinner plates and a whole set of Chelseaware. There are a lot of small dishes from all over the world as well. Thus the porcelain collection is really quite impressive.

Curator Larry Billings got a print of the Governor's palace in Williamsburg. Some time it will make a good special exhibit at the museum. Larry also gave a poster to the museum.

Curator Larry gave a sign he painted years ago to the DUV to raise money for the soldiers monument. There are many worthwhile causes in every community. The Historical Society is one of them and he urges you to support it.
