Waterford Aug. 5
This will be a very quick column because I am off to a new physical therapist at the doctor's orders. Pat is the woman David used to see for his physical therapy needs.
The weather has improved in that it hasn't been so hot, but has been sunny and warm anyway. I am not a hot-weather person. For now, heat and showers are predicted for the week. We need the rain – the rivers and lakes are low – and I hope our roof gets finished anyway.
August is a big month for the library. There is a story time program on Mondays at 1 p.m. For children ages 2 thru 6. It is a chance to listen to stories and check out the library.
Aug. 7. starting at 6 p.m., Mt. Tirem Lodge has their annual lobsterfest. There will be chicken and lobster and sides available for all. This is a major fundraiser for the lodge for their activities throughout the year.
That will be all for this week. I am off for the day. Have a safe week and stay off those skateboards – you know whom I am talking to.
